And, that starts with the adults. At K. Smith, one of our core values is:We want our school to be a safe, healthy, supportive, and nurturing environment for the whole community.Wanting a supportive school matters, but how do we know? Capturing data on school culture is a challenge many schools face. Day-to-day the positive culture may be obvious. Though, tracking that progress is something we can do as a New Tech Network School. We participate three times annually in school culture surveys to ask students how we are doing and use their feedback to continuously improve.
