- 6 cm

Option 1 : 3 cm

**Given **

Length of CO = 4 cm

Length of OD = 3.75 cm

**Formula used **

AO × BO = CO × OD (If two chord intersect at point O in the circle)

**Calculation:**

Let the length of AO be x

So, length of OB = 8 - x

⇒ x × (8 - x) = 4 × 3.75 cm

⇒ x^{2} - 8x + 15 = 0

⇒ x^{2} - 5x - 3x + 15 = 0

⇒ x = 5, 3

**∴ The length of smaller between AO and BO is 3 cm **
